Worship with us this autumn!

Join us every Sunday as worship the Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy –  through prayers, Scripture, singing, preaching, and sacrament. Our Sunday worship services begin at 11:15.

24 September – Laity Sunday – Church Council President Oscar van Rooy and Pastor Matthew preaching about laborers in the vineyard from Matthew 20. Those persons who assist as worship ushers, sound technicians, lay readers, and fellowship assistants will be recognized during worship. 

1 October – Reformation Sunday – ESUMC and its sister congregation Fünfhaus UMC will hold a joint service to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Special music will be provided by both congregations. Pastor Matthew and Pastor Stefan preaching and presiding. Holy Communion will be served. The joint service will begin at 10:30 at ESUMC (Sechshauser Strasse 56, 1150 Wien).

8 October – Eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost – The Reverend Dr. Tom Garrison preaching. 

15 October – Harvest Festival – The annual service of thanksgiving with special offerings, music, and Scripture readings. Pastor Matthew and former ESUMC pastor Kathy Young leading the service. An international food buffet to follow the service. 

22 October – Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost – Former pastor Kathy Young preaching on Matthew 20. Pastor Matthew presiding.

The Protestant Churches in Austria (Lutheran, Reformed, and Methodist) are commemorating the Reformation with a special festival on Saturday, September 30th from 12:00-22:00 on the Vienna Rathausplatz. The Reformation Festival (Reformationsfest) is free and open to the public. Visit www.fest500.at for more information.
