ESUMC news, worship for 6 December 2020

Dear ESUMC members and friends,

Thank you for your warm welcome during our worship service on Sunday, as I was officially installed as the new pastor of ESUMC. I am grateful for the prayers and words of support that you shared during the service. Although I wish that each of you could have been present in worship, it was a blessing that the congregation was so faithfully represented by Doreen and Toks. And we offer our thanks to former ESUMC member April Kang, now living in Germany, for providing the special musical offering for the day, “Gesu Bambino.” Dear friends, I am grateful to be among you, and I look forward to our shared ministry together here in Vienna.

Please note the following congregational announcements for the coming week:

1) Today, Tuesday 1 December, is Giving Tuesday! This year all Giving Tuesday donations will go towards the Wärmestube, the outreach ministry co-sponsored by ESUMC and Fünfhaus that provides warm meals and other essential items and support to the needy of our community. The Wärmestube opens today and shall operate every Tuesday from 11:30 to 14:30 until the end of March 2021.

Please be generous in your giving! You can give by clicking on this link: http://www.esumc.at/give/. Please include “Giving Tuesday” in the payment reference. Thank you for your prayerful support!

2) Today and every Tuesday during this period of lockdown, you are invited to join Pastor John for a time of open conversation and fellowship, from 10:00 to 11:00 via Zoom:
