Weekly News, 5 February 2021

Dear ESUMC members and friends,

Greetings and peace to you all. Friends in Christ, there are signs of hope all around us. The slight loosening of the lockdown, the plans for increased vaccinations, the bright sun and warm air of recent days…we are thankful for these gifts and graces, as we continue in this season of pandemic.

However, we keep in mind that our true hope lies in Jesus Christ, the one who gave his life so that we might gain salvation. It is Christ who gives strength and courage to endure difficult days, and it is Christ who shines light in the midst of darkness. Together may we keep our face turned to God, that in spite of the present challenges, we may walk in faith and not be weary.

As a reminder, in accordance with the restrictions of the ongoing nationwide lockdown, our church sanctuary and office remain closed.

This Sunday, 7 February, and for the foreseeable future, there shall be no in-person worship service at the church.

Instead, the Sunday worship service shall be streamed online via Zoom, starting each Sunday at 11:15 as usual. The Zoom login details remain the same:
