COFFEE WITH PASTOR MATTHEW – Have coffee with Pastor Matthew on Tuesday! On Tuesday morning, 19 May from 11:00-12:00, he will be online for a chat and a time of fellowship. Bring your coffee or tea and curl up with your computer. We will use the Zoom platform.

WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY – The Wednesday Evening Bible Study resumes this Wednesday, 20 May at 19:00. The Bible study will focus on 1 Corinthians 7-8. We will use the Zoom platform.

ASCENSION DAY COMMUNION SERVICE ON 21 MAY – In celebration of the Ascension of Our Lord, Pastor Matthew will lead a special service of Holy Communion on Thursday, 21 May 18:00 in the church building. Due to size restrictions, attendees must pre-register via email (matthew.laferty [at] This service will be the first time that we will hold public worship in the church building since mid-March. SUNDAY MORNING DEVOTIONS – Join Pastor Matthew and the ESUMC family for Sunday morning devotions on 24 May. Pastor Matthew will be leading the devotions. We will gather electronically via Zoom.

CONFIRMATION – The ESUMC confirmation group will meet online on Sunday, 24 May at 13:00.

FINANCE COMMITTEE – The finance committee for 2 June has been cancelled.

CONFIRMATION SUNDAY – Confirmation Sunday will be Sunday, 28 June.

RESULTS OF CHARGE CONFERENCE BALLOT – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual congregational meeting (called a church conference or Bezirksversammlung) was cancelled. The superintendent authorized the elected leaders of the church (who are collectively called a charge conference or Bezirkskonferenz) to make decisions on behalf of the congregation’s members.
