Vienna International Gospel Choir

The Vienna International Gospel Choir (VIGC) was founded by Selina Duncan in 2006 as a place for people to experience gospel music and spirituals as part of an expression of faith. When Selina returned to the USA in 2010 and Maria Jose Villamil took over the leadership. In 2013 the VICG was led by Leonid Belaiev, followed by Daniela Krassnig in 2014. In September 2016 we were pleased to welcome Wolfgang Zewe as our new choir director. Rehearsals take place on Friday evenings at 6 p.m. We sing for special church services (Harvest Festival, Long Night of Churches, Music Sundays, joint services) and host at least one big concert each semester. Currently the choir has 20 members from different countries and denominations.

The VIGC is open to all people who love to sing gospel music, regardless of their church affiliation. Everyone is welcome.
